Varvara is a tiny fishing community south of Bourgass and 3km to the north of Ahtopol. The village is an old fishermen settlement, which has grown into a tourist destination only in the past decade. Budget accommodation in typical Bulgarian houses with cool shadows of grape vines in the front yard makes it a preferred holiday place for artists and other people in search of quietness and solitude. It is also favourite place for divers for it is full of stone cavities.

Their are hourly bus connections from Bourgas to Tzarevo and Ahtopol (app. 1 hour). Daily bus connection from Sofia to Tzarevo and Ahtopol (app. 6-7 hours)

Neibourghood: The town of Ahtopol (5km) and the town of Carevo (9km), where you can find ATMs, post office and supermarket.

On the north, the ressorts of Primorsko and Kiten host the crowd of tourists and offer intense night life.
Sozopol is an ancient greek city with traditions, but the new town developped very quickly with modern hotels and facilities. In september Sozopol hosts the biggest bulgarian art festival "Apolonia"
The city of Bourgas, where you can enjoy shopping, theaters, opera and cinemas is at about 50min of driving from Varvara. Varna is the biggest city on the bulgarian seashore at about 3h of driving.

On the south: a must place to visit is Sinemoretz with the wonderfull Veleka river estuaire and the border village of Rezovo, where European Union starts.
